THE EQUATION is an installation concept designed to insert both the viewer and the location into the equation of politics and money. It is easy to complain of money in politics without remembering our own involvement in the formula.The Equation reflects on the changing nature of this formula, which is altered by both the participants (audience) and the location. These variables change the meaning of the work, so this installation takes on different meanings depending on the circumstances of the viewing experience.
This image represents the test piece of the concept. The installation is to comprised of enlarged images of presidential and founding father figures derived from our currency presented on large 6+ foot mirrors installed in a single space creating a confusing hall of mirrors effect with infinite reflections, metaphorically as well as visually.
